MiFID II, MiFIR Compliance

MiFID II, MiFIR Compliance - Trading and Brokerage

MiFID II – How technology can support the changes? And why LIST is the right technology partner?

MiFID II and MiFIR will apply within EU Members States starting on January 3rd, 2018.

The whole industry is busy with the analysis of the regulation, the definition of the impacts on business and operational processes, the estimation of costs, the identification of new business opportunities.
What is clear is that the changes introduced by MiFID II require a pervasive support of technology solutions in order to be implemented properly and in time.

And technology to support the Banking and Finance industry is what LIST has been designing and developing for more than 25 years.

At LIST we are used to work closely with our clients up to the last mile in order to deliver what their organization and business require. This is what we have done, for example, 10 years ago, when MiFID was first introduced.

Given the relevance of the Fixed Income market in Italy (third largest in the world), MiFID I scope was extended, since its introduction in 2007, to include non-equities (bonds and rates in particular).

Leveraging on its experience in the Fixed Income and Equities markets, LIST was extremely successful in delivering multi-asset MiFID solutions to a large number of banks, brokers, buy-side and execution venues.
Since 2008 our clients deploy in production solutions for multi-asset dynamic Best Execution, Systematic Internalization and Pre-trade Transparency on both bonds and equities.

Which means that today, with MiFID II extending its scope to non-equity instruments, LIST is in the privileged position to have already implemented what most of the industry is still analyzing.

Since the introduction of the new ESMA directives in 2013, LIST has delivered to the market LookOut - a very successful solution for MAD/MAR. By combining our decennial MiFID experience with the modern technology of LookOut, we can now deliver an even wider set of modules and tools to support with our technology the process changes that the introduction of MiFID II implies.
